The guys at BastardaType have amazing problems.

Amazing for us, at least.

See, on 2023: they were publishing a lot of new cool typefaces, and they noticed they were taking a veeery long time to make a PDF document for each one.

It was boring work, too, because every document had the same things: A big sample of the font, obviously. Some Information about the designer, the language support… Things you’d expect to know about a font.

Then they had to come up with a few random words that fit well in the layout, and looked nice in the font. Not super hard stuff, but it started to add up.

The most time consuming step was building a grid with every glyph in the font. That was… not the most fun you can have, particularly with large fonts.
